SecureLock: Zero-Knowledge Password Manager and Secure Vault
Overview
SecureLock is a password manager and encrypted digital vault that lets individuals and families store passwords, sensitive documents and personal files in one place, protected by end-to-end encryption. I designed and built the full product, from the marketing site and subscription plans to the encrypted vault itself.
The Problem
Most people reuse weak passwords and keep important documents such as IDs and records scattered across email, cloud drives and their phone's photo gallery. Existing password managers solve part of this, but many feel complex, and few combine password storage, secure document storage and family sharing in one simple, affordable product.
What I Built
1. Encrypted vault with zero-knowledge architecture
The core of SecureLock is a personal vault where users store passwords, documents and files. Data is encrypted with AES-256 on the user's device before it is sent anywhere, and the master password never leaves the device, so not even SecureLock can read what is stored. An extra vault PIN adds a second layer of protection on top of the account login.
2. Password generator and account security
Users can generate strong, unique passwords and save them straight to their vault. Accounts support two-factor authentication, and sign-up includes international phone number support for global users.
3. Secure document and file storage
Beyond passwords, users can upload IDs, records and other sensitive files into encrypted storage, with storage limits tied to their plan.
4. Subscription plans and billing
I built a three-tier pricing model: a Free plan for trying the product, a Personal plan with unlimited passwords and 1GB of secure file storage, and a Family plan covering up to 6 members with a shared family vault, 10GB of storage and priority support. Users can switch between monthly and annual billing (saving up to 25% annually), start a 14-day free trial on paid plans, upgrade or change plans with prorated charges, and cancel at any time while keeping access until the end of their billing period. Card payments are handled through a secure checkout so SecureLock never stores full card numbers.
5. Family sharing
The Family plan gives households a shared vault so members can safely share logins and documents with each other instead of sending passwords over chat or text.
6. Content, support and growth pages
To support marketing and customer success, I built a categorised blog with security guides and tips, a searchable help center organised by topic (getting started, account settings, vault, security and privacy, billing, troubleshooting), a contact page with a support form, live chat and demo booking, and a careers page with filterable open roles.
7. Global-ready experience
The product includes a language switcher for international users, light and dark themes, a polished security-focused design and a fully responsive layout across desktop and mobile.
The Result
SecureLock is a complete, production-style SaaS product: a trustworthy, conversion-focused marketing site that leads straight into a working encrypted vault, with free-to-paid subscription flows, family sharing and the support content a real security product needs. It demonstrates end-to-end ownership of security-sensitive features, subscription billing and a polished user experience in a single build.
